Wilderness First Aid

March 2-3, 2024

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Wilderness First Aid course in Cyprus, taught by Wilderness Medical Associates Europe.

As outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers, we love spending time in difficult-to-reach spots in Cyprus, often out of cell service. But the reality is that accidents can and do happen outdoors. Wildnerness First Aid will teach us how to assess and treat injuries when there isn't quick or easy access to medical help.

Date: March 2-3, 2024 (both days mandatory)

Location: The Adventure Park, Kyperounta

Cost: 360€ (includes all course materials, lunch, tea & coffee throughout the course)

The curriculum includes the following areas, and is heavily focused on hands-on, practical training:

  • General Principles of Wilderness & Rescue Medicine
  • Patient Assessment System
  • Basic Life Support
  • Circulatory System
  • Nervous System
  • Respiratory System
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Thermoregulation
  • Drowning
  • Lightning Injuries
  • Wounds and Burns
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Lifting, Moving & Extrication
  • Backcountry Medicine

Based on the background and interests of the participants, the instructors will tailor practice scenarios to be as relevant as possible. Full details of the course can be found here.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive two certificates (valid for 3 years):

  1. Wilderness First Aid
  2. Adult CPR
